Description	:	Arnold Edward Weagle (Arnie) of Bridgewater, NS, 78, died Saturday, January 24, 2009, at the SSRH. His sudden death came as a great shock to family and friends. Born in Bridgewater January 10, 1931, he was the son of the late Theophilus and Lena (Hebb) Weagle. Arnie enjoyed the social activities of pool, snooker, hockey, broomball, cards and bingo, but his true passions were to hunt and fish with his son, grandsons and many buddies. Read More	Arnold Edward Weagle (Arnie) of Bridgewater, NS, 78, died Saturday, January 24, 2009, at the SSRH. His sudden death came as a great shock to family and friends. Born in Bridgewater January 10, 1931, he was the son of the late Theophilus and Lena (Hebb) Weagle. Arnie enjoyed the social activities of pool, snooker, hockey, broomball, cards and bingo, but his true passions were to hunt and fish with his son, grandsons and many buddies. At an early age, he started work with CNR until 1963. Since then, he was a heavy equipment operator for several companies around Lunenburg County until his retirement from DOT in 1988 due to poor health. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #24, a member of Bridgewater Seniors Club and a former long-time member of the LaHave River Salmon Association. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Barbara of 57 years; his children, Robert (Diane) Hebbville; Debbie Robar, Bridgewater; Brenda (David) McCarthy, Stoney Plains, Alberta; and Barbie (Andy) Nowe, Farmington; also, brother, Gordon, Bridgewater. In addition are his much-loved 10 grandchildren and five great-grandsons. He was predeceased by infant twin daughters; his mother and father; brother Ralph; sisters Vivian, Marie, Pauline and Hilda; son-in-law Gary Robar. A combined visitation and Legion service were held Tuesday, January 27. A memorial service was held Wednesday, January 28, at R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, Rev. Willis Ott officiating, followed by a private family interment at Brookside Cemetery and reception at Bridgewater Legion Branch #24. Card of Thanks The family of the late Arnie Weagle wish to express sincere thanks to all relatives and friends for their help and kindness throughout this sad time. To friends and family who visited, phoned, brought food, sent floral arrangements, memorial contributions, on-line condolences and cards of sympathy, all too numerous to answer individually, we, the family, express deep appreciation.
