He was baptized Aug. 8, 1956, at Zion Lutheran Church, Pierce, and confirmed Sept. 30, 1956, at Zion Lutheran Church, Pierce. He attended Verdigre and O“Neill Public Schools. He was married to Wanda Koplin July 6, 1951, at St. Paul“s Lutheran Church, Norfolk. She passed away May 2, 1996. They lived in Norfolk from 1951 to 1957. In 1957, they moved to Pierce. Arnold drove a milk truck for 28 years. They moved to Wisner in 1976. He worked for Wisner Plumbing & Heating until his retirement in 1996. In 1997, he moved to Beemer. He had been a resident of the Blue Valley Nursing Home, Hebron, since October 2009. He was a member of St. John“s Lutheran Church, Beemer. He was on the fire department at Pierce and Wisner and member of the Wisner Lions Club. Survivors include children Brent and wife Kim Tomasek of West Point, Brenda and husband John McCarthy of Wisner, Bryan and wife Merridy Tomasek of Norfolk, Jody and husband Doug Huber of Hebron; daughter-in-law Angie Tomasek of Omaha; 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, two sisters, Arlene and Marcella, wife Wanda, son Bruce. Organist will be Mrs. Trudy Dannelly with soloist Rick Higgins and hymns ”Old Rugged Cross,• ”How Great Thou Art,• and pre-recorded music ”Go Rest High On The Mountain,• ”Daddy“s Hand.• Casketbearers will be Nicholas McCarthy, Tanner Jazwick, Steven Tomasek, Christopher Tomasek, Michael Tomasek, Toby Tomasek. Honorary casket bearers will be Lacey Jazwick, Ali Lampman, Sara Tomasek, Ashley Tomasek, Mandi Olson.
