He married Miriam Miller on October 22, 1944 in Maquoketa, Iowa. Arnold had farmed in the Monmouth area from 1945 to 1977, moving to Andrew, Iowa. He then worked for the Andrew Community Schools as a custodian for 14 years. Arnold is survived by: his wife- Miriam Brown of Andrew, IA; children- Connie Anderson of Central City, IA, Doug (Diana) Brown of Monmouth, IA, & Brenda Rumple (significant other- Doug Zeimet) of Andrew, IA; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren; sisters- Aljean (Don) Crist of Maquoketa, IA, Virginia (Wally) Groth of Davenport, IA, & Emma Louise Brown of Denver, Co; & a brother- Vernon (Pat) Brown of Littleton, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother- Herman, a sister- Janis Yarolem, & a son-in-law- Merle Anderson.
