Description	:	Arol Hall was born September 11, 1906. People often wondered where they got the name of Arol and some speculation is it is the middle of Harold. He was called Arol by his family, but friends and Mother called him "Brownie" because he got so brown in the summer from the sun. Arol was on the track, basketball, and football teams at Kokomo High School and on the basketball team that went to state in 1925. Arol was on the track, basketball, and football teams at Kokomo High School and on the basketball team that went to state in 1925. He was a great sports enthusiast, sometimes listening to one game on the radio and watching another on television. At the age of 15 he worked shining shoes, cleaning tubs in a barber shop and worked in a meat market. After graduation (1926) he worked at the Globe Stove and Range Corp. in Kokomo, IN washing windows. Later he held administrative positions and when he left the Globe in 1956, he was Superintendent. He then worked for the O. Hummel Co. Pennsylvania (1956-1962) and was the Plant Manager of Active Products, Marion, IN 1962 until his retirement in 1969. Brownie married Mary K Trayers (1905-1986) June 9, 1930. He was active in St. Patrick's Church Pastoral Council and Eucharistic Ministry. He cherished his friendships in the Knights of Columbus and was the Grand Knight in 1951. For many years he brightened the eyes and hearts of children and adults when he played Santa Claus. His grandchildren will always remember him as a special Santa who they called "Ho, Ho".
