Description	:	Arra C. Pittam, 92, of Kimball, died at the Kimball County Manor on Sunday, March 11, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Kimball with Pastor Lynda Parson officiating. Pittam, 92, of Kimball, died at the Kimball County Manor on Sunday, March 11, 2012. The services for Arra have been entrusted to the Cantrell Funeral Home. Arra Canzada Pittam was born in Devol, Oklahoma on April 14, 1919, the daughter of George and Arra (Hampton) Colclasure. The family moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1925. She attended school in Boulder and graduated high school in 1937. Arra worked at the local Dime Store in Boulder. She met Orvile Pittam and they were married in Castle Rock, Colorado on April 9, 1939. In 1943 the family moved to Superior, Wyoming and while in Wyoming Arra was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She especially enjoyed their trips to Big Sandy Lake and spending time in the outdoors with her boys. They also loved to Square Dance. They moved to Kimball in 1954. She worked at the Co-op. She owned and operated Mode O'Day, which was a women's clothing store. Working started to get in the way of their love for square dancing, so Arra and Orvile retired. They lived for 5 months in West Yellowstone, 5 months in Lake Havasu and taught square dancing, and the other 2 months of the year organizing square dances along the way in between both place. She loved to crochet, and enjoyed making things for her family and friends. She had a green thumb and loved African Violets and Pansy plants. Survivors include her son Don (Nancy) Pittam of Marion, IA; brother Gene (Diana) Colclasure; grandchildren Greg Pittam, D. Pittam-Vizecky, Michael Pittam and Lynn Rosen; great grandchildren Morgan Vizecky, Jeremy Rosen and Hannah Rosen. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Richard and brothers Oliffe, Walter and George.
