Young Bennett had been working for the past three years in Colorado and Wyoming for Charles Switzer, putting up buildings at the mines. Last October he was taken with Spanish influenza and after a brief time being confined to his room he went to work again, not being fully recovered from his recent illness. From that time he was never well. On February first he came back to his old home in Iowa. He took sick the following Thursday at the home of Mrs. A. Danforth and from that time he grew steadily worse and despite all that skilled physicians, trained nurses and devoted attention from those who loved him could do he died Sunday, March 9th, 1919, at noon, the end coming very peacefully. Arthur Bennett was born in Excelsior, Iowa, June 17th, 1887. He was a most exemplary young man with many friends who will grieve over his untimely death. He was married to Miss Flora Danforth on March 2nd 1919, and a life of usefulness and happiness had been planned by them before Mr. Bennett left the West. He also leaves a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bennett, near here, six brothers and three sisters. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen and the Redmen.
