Conger (Obituary) Arthur Bickford Conger was born Nov. 15, 1887, at Loup City, Nebr., to Alice and Stewart Conger, and passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 1947, at the Aurora hospital, at the age of 59 years. His illness was of short duration, having been in the hospital only four weeks. He was married on Dec. 30, 1912, to Lucy Fowler of Loup City. To this union was [sic] born two sons, Lynn and Ray. Conger (Obituary) Arthur Bickford Conger was born Nov. 15, 1887, at Loup City, Nebr., to Alice and Stewart Conger, and passed away Sunday, Feb. 16, 1947, at the Aurora hospital, at the age of 59 years. His illness was of short duration, having been in the hospital only four weeks. He was married on Dec. 30, 1912, to Lucy Fowler of Loup City. To this union was [sic] born two sons, Lynn and Ray. With the exception of five years spent in New York state when a boy, his entire life was spent in Nebraska, the last 30 years in Hamilton county, where he engaged in farming. He was a member of the Christian church at Aurora, in which he was an active and loyal worker. He was vice president of the church board. He was director of the school district in which (he) lived for nearly 20 years. He was secretary of the board of directors of the Community Co-op. Oil Co. for the past 12 years. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and one son, Ray. He is survived by his wife, Lucy; one son, Lynn; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Lynn Conger and Mrs. LaVerne Conger; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Andrew Lind of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Jim Graw of Los Angeles, and three brothers, Roy of Culver City, Calif., Romeo of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Clayton of Loup City. Funeral services were held last Wednesday from the Aurora Christian church, conducted by Rev. Claude Breidenthal. Interment was made in Aurora cemetery. The Sherman County Times - Feb 27 1947
