Buryl Reese July 27, 1919-Dec. 31, 1996 A. Buryl REESE, 77, Rochester, died at 1 a.m. Tuesday at his residence. Born in Comstock Park, Mich. to Fred and Clara MUTCHLER REESE, he married Eva J. COLLINS on Dec. 14, 1947 in Champaign, Ill. She survives. He had lived most of his life here and attended local schools. During World War II he served in a U.S. Navy destroyer in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters. He had retired from Torin Corporation in Rochester in 1975 after 17 years. He later worked in industrial management until retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Lake Manitou Post, the Rochester Lions Club, the Industrial Management Society. In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters Shirley PARKHURST, Plymouth, Mrs. Don (Evelyn) WALKER, Carmel; one son Harold [REESE] and wife Bonnie SMITH, Knox; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and one brother Harold [REESE] and wife Helen REESE, Rochester. He was preceded in death by a brother Ralph REESE. Services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Jeffrey S. TAYLOR officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by the American Legion and the V.F.W. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
