Interment was made in the St Lawrence Cemetery. Mrs. L. Danielson, Mrs. M. O. Thomas, Mrs. C. H. Williams and C. H. Williams assisted Rev. S. C. Blumhagen in the service. The deceased, Arthur Ray Bute, was born to Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Bute of Highland Township, Hand County, South Dakota, on January 18, 1887. He died at Yankton, South Dakota on February 16, 1936, at the age of forty-nine years, and nine days. His father and mother and one sister, Clara Belle preceded him in death. He is survived by five brothers: R.W., A.H., M.J. and F.A. Bute all of Miller and O. J. Bute of Cary, Illinois. Arthur had always made his home with his parents in Highland Township until 193w at which time his mother died and he came to South Dakota to live with his brothers. Sickness in infancy permanently disabled him physically. Despite this sad affliction, he was ever patient and cheerful. He had a kindly disposition and enjoyed the companionship of all of his acquaintances. The following was contributed by Mrs. A.W.
