Description	:	Arthur Charles Clow, fourteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Clow, met a tragic death while the family were spending last Sunday on the banks of the Little Sioux River, near Sutherland, Iowa. The family had driven to the river from their home at Paullina, Iowa, to spend the day fishing and for an outing. Just how the boy got into the river is not known. Read More	Arthur Charles Clow, fourteen year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Clow, met a tragic death while the family were spending last Sunday on the banks of the Little Sioux River, near Sutherland, Iowa. The family had driven to the river from their home at Paullina, Iowa, to spend the day fishing and for an outing. Just how the boy got into the river is not known. The banks where the tragedy occurred was not deep, and when his younger brother, and father notices him he was going down for the third time, and before the father could rescue him he had gone to a watery grave.Arthur was born on a farm near Masonville, Iowa, April 30th, 1906, and when he was a lad of only five years the parents moved to Paullina, Iowa, where they now reside. He was a strong, manly young fellow, and had just reached the age when he was able to assist his parents with their work. His tragic death comes with crushing force to the parents, who idolized him. The parents accompanied the remains to Manchester on Tuesday evening, and this afternoon they will be taken to Masonville where funeral services will be held. Rev. Mr. Washington, pastor of the Congregational church of Gaza, Iowa, will have charge of the services.
