Coates (B: 5/10/1834 Athens, OH-D: 12/30/1909 Elgin, Kane Co., IL). She married George Washington "G.W." Rice (1828-1878) Find-a-Grave #16669757. Married on 6/27/1858 in Athens, OH in a double ceremony with Nancy Coates (Mary's sister) and Charles O.W. Goodspeed at the Methodist-Episcopal church. Mary was committed to the Elgin State Hospital, Illinois on 12/21/1909 for apparent dementia after a fall down the stairs 6 months prior, and died there on 12/30/1909. Can't find where she's buried.
