Peeler, 71, of Pleasant School Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at his residence. Born in Cherokee County, he was the husband of Joyce Turner Peeler and the son of the late Arthur J. Peeler and Cleo Parker Peeler. Peeler, 71, of Pleasant School Road, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at his residence. Born in Cherokee County, he was the husband of Joyce Turner Peeler and the son of the late Arthur J. Peeler and Cleo Parker Peeler. He was a graduate of Blacksburg and retired from Hoechst Celanese and Musgrove Mill. Mr. Peeler was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, also surviving are two sons, Pastor Jeff Peeler and wife, Sherri of Everett, PA and Rex Peeler and wife, Hope of Chesnee; a daughter, Teri Snavely and husband, Joel of Middletown, PA; six grandchildren, Abigail Peeler, Emily Peeler, Erin Peeler, Annelise Peeler, Grace Peeler and Melissa Kline and husband, Dean; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and James Kline. Mr. Peeler was preceded in death by a son, Ted William; and a sister, Dorothy Beattie. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Interim Hospice for their love and care. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Peeler officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to: Showers of Blessings, c/o Northside Baptist Church, 944 North Logan Street, Gaffney, SC, 29341 or Interim Healthcare Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC, 29334.
