Art was born Nov. 26, 1918, at the Holub family farm near Wyoming, the son of Edward F. and Ida Peterson Holub. He attended the Wyoming schools and graduated in the Class of 1936. On July 19, 1940, he married Marjorie Holmes in Elkader and they made their home on the family farm, where Art farmed. In 1965, they moved into Wyoming and Art continued farming. In the early 1980s they moved to Oxford Junction, where they lived until Art moved to the Anamosa Care Center in 2002. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; two sons, Charles Holub and wife Sharon of Center Junction and Steve Holub and wife Cindy of De Witt; four grandchildren, Kim, Jeff, Matt and Bob; and five great-grandchildren, Lacie, Derek, Amanda, Clayton and Sara. Art was preceded in death by his parents.
