Description : Arthur was born in Le Roy, Boone County, Illinois in 1857 to Enoch Kendall (1827, PA) and Martha 'Mattie' A. Wetmore (1836, NY). Married in 1856, his parents divorced about 1875.

His mother remarried to Andrew F. Wares on 14 March 1878 in Winnebago County, IL. The couple took Arthur and his sister, Edith to Nebraska.

In 1883, Arthur's 12 year old sister died suddenly. In 1892, his stepfather died.

Arthur died at the age of 35 in 1893 at the Plainview farm, and was buried next to his stepfather and sister at Plainview Memorial Park Cemetery.
