Description	:	Arthur Grosz, 92, Minot, passed away Friday, February 26, 2016, at a Minot nursing home. Art was born on February 27, 1923, in rural Kief, ND, the son of Christ and Sophie (Ziegler) Grosz. He attended school in Kief and McClusky. He worked for local farmers until 1941, when he joined the Civilian Conservation Corporation where he built dams and dikes in South Dakota and in 1942, Art continued working for farmers in the Drake area. Art was born on February 27, 1923, in rural Kief, ND, the son of Christ and Sophie (Ziegler) Grosz. He attended school in Kief and McClusky. He worked for local farmers until 1941, when he joined the Civilian Conservation Corporation where he built dams and dikes in South Dakota and in 1942, Art continued working for farmers in the Drake area. On October 23, 1943, Art joined the United States Army. In 1944 and 1945, he was stationed in France and Germany. For his valiant service he received several ribbons and medals which included: Victory Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon, W/2 Bronze Battle Star, One Overseas Bar, Army of Occupation Medal German, and a Good Conduct Medal. Art was honorably discharged on April 28, 1946. Art married Darlene Stein on October 13, 1946. The couple farmed in the McClusky and Goodrich areas until they moved to Minot in October of 1955. They had four children, Arthur, Gary, Terry and Mike. Art worked for Carl’s Radiator Service in Minot until his retirement. Darlene passed away on April 15, 2010. Art was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors: sons, Arthur (Rose), Casper, WY, Gary (Linda), Terry (Karen) and Mike all of Minot; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchild and extended family. Art was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene, great-grandson, Brandy Lindquist, parents, Christ and Sophia, brothers, Edward and Emil Grosz, sisters, Ella Rau, Annie Gerle, Agnes VanCamp and Alvina Hansen.
