Funeral services had been held at Webb City last Thursday. Born July 3, 1889 at Watson in Clayton County, Mr. Reidel was the son of Henry J. and Louisa Wiethorn Reidel. The family came to Albion in 1895. On Nov. 29, 1912, he was married to Lucile Burger, Albion, and they farmed north of Albion for several years. They moved to Farmington Minn., in 1920, where she died in May, 1938. He was married to Mrs. Minnie Preble, Aug. 30, 1940 at Mason City. The couple moved to Sarcoxie Mo., in 1956 and later to Webb City, Mo., where he was a member of the Methodist Church. Mr. Reidel is survived by the widow, a son Max, by his first marriage eight grandchildren, four step children and six step grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Miss Gae N. Reidel, Albion, and Mrs. E.R. Duvall, Roswell, N.M.; and a brother, Ray Reidel, Albion. Preceding him in death were three brothers and three sisters. Relatives from out of state were Mr. and Mrs. Max Reidel and daughter, Barbara, Fort Angeles, Washington; Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Borchardt, Albert Lea, Minn., Miss Wilma McKibben, Fairmont Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Howard Andrus, Madison, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Ray Preble, Minneapolis, Minn., Webb City, Mo., Mrs. Stanley Morgan, Phoenix, Arizona, and Miss Arlene Preble Houston, Texas.
