Read More	ROCHESTER — Services for Arthur L. Gordon, 90, of Life Care Center of Rochester, formerly of 530 Madison St., will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Foster & Good Funeral Home. He died at 11:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, in Life Care Center of Rochester. Born Feb. 29, 1912, in Rochester, he was the son of Frank and Sophia Tetzlaff Gordon. On July 26, 1934, in Kokomo, he was married to Helen Louise Sanders, who preceded in death on June 12, 2001. Mr. Gordon, who was a lifelong resident of Rochester, was an employee of the former Armour Creamery. He also served as service department manager for the former John Sawyer Motors, Schnarel Motors and Hartman Motors, all of Rochester. He also was employed at United Auto Parts Store, Rochester Parks Department and a custodian at Rochester High School. A member of First Christian Church, Mr. Gordon served as deacon and trustee for many years. Surviving are one daughter, Patricia Perry and her husband Alton, Akron; one son, William J. Gordon and his wife Joan, Rochester; six grandchildren, Pam Gordon, Macy, Valerie Metzger, Logansport, Ryan and Brandon Perry, Akron, Jayne Kohls and her husband Donnie, Rochester, and James Perry and his wife Angie, Mentone; 11 great-grandchildren, Melissa, William, and Morgan Metzger, Michelle Kohls, George Bonin, and Steven, Eric, Jessica, Justin L, Justin K. and Kelsey Perry; three sisters, Ida Shafer and Josephine Warner, and Mabel Umbaugh and her husband Edward, all of Rochester; and one brother, Lester Gordon, Rochester. Two brothers, Howard and Carl Gordon, and one sister; Pauline Cranmer, preceded in death. The Rev. Woody Slade will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour before the services Wednesday in the funeral home.
