He was born March 25, 1939, in Defiance, the son of Aaron and Thelma (Allen) Flory. In 1967, he married Barbara Goebel, who survives. He was a farmer and employee at Dinner Bell Foods for 32 years, retiring in 1990. He was born March 25, 1939, in Defiance, the son of Aaron and Thelma (Allen) Flory. In 1967, he married Barbara Goebel, who survives. He was a farmer and employee at Dinner Bell Foods for 32 years, retiring in 1990. He was a U.S. Army SP4 veteran and a member of VFW Post 3360, AMVETS Post 1991, Eagles Aerie 372, Moose Lodge 2094 and Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren. Also surviving are two sons, Troy and Timothy, both of Defiance; a daughter, Tina, Defiance; and a grandchild. Preceding him in death were his parents; a stepfather, Carl Lumpkins; a son, John; and a brother, Elmer. Private services will be held Saturday in Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Porter officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Ridge Cemetery. There is no visitation. Preferred memorials are to a charity of the donor's choice.
