Description	:	Arthur Moen was born on July 23, 1912 to Sigvart & Nora Saga Moen on the family farm in Nutley Township, Day County, South Dakota northeast of Roslyn. He was baptized and confirmed at Saron Lutheran Church near Roslyn. He attended country school near his home. He began farming with his parents. He married Lorraine Sanders on May 10, 1934 at the Wist parsonage near Roslyn. After their marriage the couple made their home and farmed the Moen family farm. Read More	Arthur Moen was born on July 23, 1912 to Sigvart & Nora Saga Moen on the family farm in Nutley Township, Day County, South Dakota northeast of Roslyn. He was baptized and confirmed at Saron Lutheran Church near Roslyn. He attended country school near his home. He began farming with his parents. He married Lorraine Sanders on May 10, 1934 at the Wist parsonage near Roslyn. After their marriage the couple made their home and farmed the Moen family farm. In 1976 they moved into Roslyn and have made their home there until the present time. Art was a member of the Roslyn Lutheran Church and had served on the church council. He passed away on Sunday, August 21, 1994 at his home in Roslyn at the age of 82. Survivors include his wife: one brother, Harold Moen of Watertown, SD; 2 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter (Arlene), 2 sisters & 1 brother.
