His wife, Pauline Zecher Guyton, died in 1961. He was a member of the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren, and was serving as a deacon in the church. He is survived by two sons, Wayne Z. Guyton, Burkittsville, Gail T. Guyton, Myersville, one sister, Mrs. Naomi Arnold, Middletown, and seven grandchildren.
