Born in Simpson's Corner, February 21, 1927, he was a son of the late Lester and Helen (Woodworth) Hyson. Read More	Arthur Ray Hyson 2006 Bridgewater Bulletin Family, friends, and neighbours were saddened on Saturday, March 25, 2006, to learn of the passing of one of Simpson's Corner's lifelong residents, Arthur Ray Hyson, at his home on the family homestead. Born in Simpson's Corner, February 21, 1927, he was a son of the late Lester and Helen (Woodworth) Hyson. He had lympsidic leukemia for over nine years but was only in failing health for the past seven months. He was a member of the Emmanuel United Church, Hemford. He was a carpenter by trade, starting out with his father. He later worked with Raymond Lohnes and retired from Nauss Brothers Ltd. in 1991. Since his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, cutting his own firewood, and recollecting past events with all who would listen. He is survived by his wife of over 51 yeras, the former Ethel Woodworth; daughters, Sheila (Michael) Colp, Farmington; Elfreda (Blake) Veinot, Middle Cornwall; Peggy, at home; and a grandson, Trevor Colp. He was predeceased by an infant son, Llewellyn; and infant brothers, Bruce and Arnold. His body rested at R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, where service was held on Tuesday, March 28, with burial at Hillside Cemetery, Simpson's Corner, next to his infant son. Rev. Joan Conrad officiated with the service; organist and solo sung by Paul Haughn,"Jesus, You Have Come to the Lakeshore." Pallbearers were Russell Burgoyne, Simeon Colp, Raeburn Illingworth, Roland Ramey, Douglas Selig, and Dan Veno. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
