Description	:	Art was born March 21, 1924, the son of August and Lydia (Knecht) Ziemann. He grew up and attended school near Krem, ND, which was north of Hazen. He married Adeline Tesky on October 9, 1949, at Zion Lutheran Church in Beulah, ND. Art and Adeline farmed at his home place until June 1956 until they moved into Hazen. He then worked on the Garrison Dam, farmed and did carpentry work, a trade he had learned from his father, and a trade he passed onto his sons. He grew up and attended school near Krem, ND, which was north of Hazen. He married Adeline Tesky on October 9, 1949, at Zion Lutheran Church in Beulah, ND. Art and Adeline farmed at his home place until June 1956 until they moved into Hazen. He then worked on the Garrison Dam, farmed and did carpentry work, a trade he had learned from his father, and a trade he passed onto his sons. Art enjoyed playing cards, pool, hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening, horseshoes, spending time with family and friends. A hunting highlight for Art was a ND elk license and filling the tag at the age of 74 . He never missed a chance for a good card game or a competitive cribbage game with his kids and grandkids. Art passed awayon July 13, 2019, after a short battle with cancer. He was surrouned by family and friends at Sanford in Bismarck, North Dakota. He and his wife, Adeline have been married nearly 70 years. May he rest in peace.
