Schweitzer was born January 19, 1931 on a farm near Seward, NE. to Jake and Esther (Roth) Roth, the second oldest of six children and went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Crestview Care Center in Milford, NE. As a young girl she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized in her youth at East Fairview Mennonite Church. Read More	Arvilla D. Schweitzer was born January 19, 1931 on a farm near Seward, NE. to Jake and Esther (Roth) Roth, the second oldest of six children and went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Crestview Care Center in Milford, NE. As a young girl she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized in her youth at East Fairview Mennonite Church. On April 30, 1950, he was united in marriage to Wilton Schweitzer at East Fairview Mennonite Church and they were blessed with three children, one daughter, Marilyn, and two sons, Larry and Rodney were born. They raised their family on the farm southwest of Milford. Family and church were very important to Arvilla and she used her God-given "gift of helps" to minister to both. She was a scrumptious cook, a self-taught seamstress, and a wise steward of the family finances. Having trusted the Lord at an early age, she faithfully served as a teacher for many years at East Fairview Mennonite Church. This same faith which is shared by her family allows us to look forward to a great reunion with our beloved parents one day in heaven. Aevilla is survived by: children and spouses, Marilyn and Nathan Saltzman, Albuquerque, NM, Larry and Vickie Schweitzer, Friend, Rod and Jana Schweitzer, Dorchester, six grandchildren and spouses, Tracy and Travis Yeackley, Stuart and Talicia Schweitzer, all of Milford, Michele Schweitzer, Manhattan, KS, Rance and Asha Schweitzer, Lincoln, Toby and Wendy Schweitzer, Central City, Dolen and Kati Schweitzer, Pleasant Dale, great-grandchildren, Isaac and Izabelle Yeackley, Elsa and Brody Schweitzer, all of Milford, sisters and brothers-in-law Fredetta Roth, Donna and Harold Roth, Aloha and Wayne Roth, Lori and Earl McCullough, brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Eleanor Roth, all of Milford, brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cleve and Luella Schweitzer, Milford, Lois Schweitzer, Friend, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Arvilla was preceded in death by: parents, Jake and Esther Roth, husband, Wilton Schweitzer in 2009, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Willis Roth, Betty Schweitzer, Leonard and June Schweitzer, Merlin Schweitzer, Allen and Alvera Stutzman, nephew, Jimmy Joe Schweitzer, parents-in-law, Lee and Elma Schweitzer. Burial was in the East Fairview Mennonite Cemetery, Milford, NE.
