Description	:	Arwanna was born the daughter of Jake and Fannie Kropf. She grew up on a farm near Boyer, Iowa. She attended a one room school before moving to Odebolt where she graduated from high school in 1940. Arwanna met Charles Hanson while attending high school. After graduation she returned to the one room schoolhouse where she taught for four years. December 10, 1944 she married Charles Hanson at the Presbyterian Church in Odebolt. The Navy dictated their next few homes as duty called. Wannie and Chuck were blessed with four children, Neil, Nancy, James and Julie. The Navy dictated their next few homes as duty called. Wannie and Chuck were blessed with four children, Neil, Nancy, James and Julie. As a stay-at-home mom they made their home in Denison where she cared for the family as well as working outside the home. The family moved to Malvern, Iowa, in 1962 where she managed and later owned the Dairy Sweet. After retiring from the fast food industry in Malvern, they moved back to Odebolt in 1991 and renewed friendships from their childhood. She loved to play bridge, canasta and spend time with Chuck and her family. She was the best pie maker in the state of Iowa in the opinion of her family and all that sampled her wares. The families maintained she could make a pie with the ease that most of the rest of us could make a peanut butter sandwich. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and served many years as the Mother Advisor of Rainbow for girls. She was a member of the Odebolt Presbyterian Church and Presbyterian Women and attended until her health diminished. She was an active member of the Boyer Methodist Church Ladies Aid and was a member of several bridge clubs. Preceded in death by her parents, sister Viola, and son-in-law Rick Wirth.
