Fred Miller officiating. Mrs. Ray Anthony sang two selections accompanied on the organ by Leo Shuler. Pall bearers were: Frank Lineweaver, Bert Walford, Lige Newton, Cliff Williamson, Ira Patten and Ben York. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery. Aseneth Evans, daughter of Daniel John and Jane Evans, was born on the Evans homestead southwest of Brooklyn in Scott township Oct. 31, 1859, and passed away at the home of her son, Kenneth near Guernsey, Ia., Mar. 28, 1941, aged 81 years, 4 months and 28 days. She had been in failing health for some time, but it was only during the past few weeks that her condition became alarming. She was a member of the Brethren church in South Brooklyn. March 17, 1896 she was united in marriage with Samuel Meldrem, who died Feb. 13, 1937. To this union three sons were born, Cecil A. of Grinnell, Ia., Ross W. of Montezuma, Ia., and Kenneth of Guernsey, Ia., all of whom survive. She also leaves to mourn her death one brother, John A.
