By 1940 they were married and it shows they were living in Fairfield, Henrico County and they were renting their house. Then it shows that Mary had completed up to her 3rd year year in High School. It also shows Ashby is now working as an Iron worker and he completed as far as the 7th grade. In the world war 2 draft document it say Ashby was working at Richmond Structual Steel. Ashby died March 9 1976 it says when he died he was a retired Iron worker. Mary died a few years later February 4, 1979 and it listed her as being a housewife. Mary died of heart disease.
