EILKS Well Known Resident Answers to the Final Summons Mrs. Eilks, wife of Benjamin Eilks, of Washington township, died at her home near Burnsville on Friday evening after an illness caused by inflammatory rheumatism with other complications at the age of forty-eight years. Mrs. Eilks had made her home in this county for many years and was well known and highly regarded by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. EILKS Well Known Resident Answers to the Final Summons Mrs. Eilks, wife of Benjamin Eilks, of Washington township, died at her home near Burnsville on Friday evening after an illness caused by inflammatory rheumatism with other complications at the age of forty-eight years. Mrs. Eilks had made her home in this county for many years and was well known and highly regarded by a large circle of friends and acquaintances. Her maiden name was Marie Reveerts and she was a native of Germany, where she was born on January 28, 1864. When she was twenty-one years of age she came with her parents to America, they coming direct to Plymouth county to make their home. In 1886 she was united in marriage with Ben Eilks and for twenty-six years they lived a happy and contented life. To them nine sons were born, six of whom with the bereaved father mourn the loss of a beloved wife, mother and homemaker. The sons are Benjamin, Charles, George, John, Henry, and Herman. Mrs. Eilks also leaves a brother and two sisters, Siefke Reveerts, Mrs. Louis Berg and Mrs. John Harms, residing in the home vicinity. Mrs. Eilks was a good Christian woman, a loving and devoted wife and mother, a friend to those in distress and respected by all who had the pleasure of her acquaintance. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Grant Lutheran church, Rev. J. D. Meyers, the pastor officiating.
