Read More	Obituary for Aubrey Lester Huffman Aubrey Lester Huffman, age 95, of Versailles, passed away peacefully at his home in the early morning of January 19, 2022. Aubrey was born June 8, 1926, the fifth of nine boys to Oliver and Elizabeth (Friedley) Huffman, in the Excelsior area. On September 14, 1946, he married Betty Jo Hutchison, who survives at home. Aubrey was a proud Navy veteran of World War II and was happy to visit the World War II monument in Washington D.C. with the Missouri Honor Flight. He was a barber in Versailles for many years and greatly enjoyed the many customers who came in and out of his shop. He also enjoyed raising cattle. Aubrey was a member of the Versailles Masonic Lodge #320 AF&AM for sixty-four years. In addition to his wife, Aubrey is survived by a son, Jim Huffman (Carolyn Homerding) of Versailles; granddaughter, Christi Miller (Chuck Miller) of Olean; grandson, Jason Huffman (Amanda Huffman) of Versailles; great-grandchildren, Emma Huffman, Sarah Huffman, Abby Miller and Ethan Miller as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Joe Huffman, his parents, Oliver and Elizabeth Huffman, daughter-in-law, Carolyn Huffman and his brothers, Fred Huffman, Earl Huffman, Don Huffman, Vencil Huffman, Cecil Huffman, Norman Huffman, Greg Huffman and Wade Huffman. Aubrey, with his quiet and gentle demeanor, might offer a prayer such as this for his family: Lord, bless my family and children. Give them hearts that follow after you. Give my family the strength to not be afraid. Give them courage to stand up for what is right. Produce within them an attitude of integrity, giving their lives to giving you glory. Protect each family member under the shadow of your wings. Lord, help us to find our strength in you. Increase our unity and peace as we seek to follow after you. Amen. The family will welcome friends on Sunday, January 23rd, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, with Pastor Gary Patterson officiating. Graveside services and interment with full military honors will follow in the Versailles Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to Central Missouri Honor Flight. Arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.
