Obituary from Roller - McNutt Funeral Home Website: Aubrey Tildon Herron October 29, 1919 - March 16, 2011 Aubrey Tildon Herron passed away peacefully on the morning of March 16, 2011. “Tildon” was the oldest of five children born to Fieldon Preston Herron and Pearl Ruth Billingsley of Franklin, Arkansas on October 29, 1919. Tildon was preceded in death by his wife Eliza Ruth (Wolf) Herron to whom he was married on January 20, 1948, as well as his brother Leroy Herron, and sisters Janice Beasley and Jeraldine Herron. Tildon is survived by daughter, Pat Jones and husband Danny Jones of Mountain Home, Arkansas; sister Almeda Thomas and husband Birl Thomas of Evening Shade, Arkansas; granddaughter, Lisa Roberts Brady and husband William Brady of Vilonia, Arkansas; grandson, Heath Jones and wife Jashenia Jones of Mountain Home, Arkansas; great-grandson, Will Brady of Vilonia, Arkansas; great-grandson, Ethan Jones of Mountain Home, Arkansas; sister-in-law Euna Mae Herron of Franklin, Arkansas; nephews Roy L. Herron, Frank Herron and Paul Beasley as well as nieces Charlene, Donna and Deanna Thomas. Tildon was well known by all of those in and around Izard County, Arkansas as the man who could fix anything. In addition to being a skilled carpenter, he was an electrician, plumber, mechanic and small engine doctor who could cure any machine-driven ill. People came from miles around to have “Tildy” work on everything from wristwatches to tractors. Tildon and his wife Eliza very much enjoyed working outside together, and especially loved tending to their always-large vegetable and flower gardens. As Tildon was an airplane mechanic in World War II, his family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to The Honor Flight Network. The Honor Flight Network transports America's veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit those memorials dedicated to honor their service and sacrifices (visit www.honorflight.org, or: Honor Flight, Inc., Attn: Diane Gresse, 300 E. Auburn Ave., Springfield, OH 45505). The family wishes to express their utmost gratitude to Covenant Care in Greenbrier (Josh, Candace, Gunner, Patrick, Susan, Josiah and Jessica) for their devotion and care to our beloved Daddy, Papaw, Brother and Uncle.
