Description	:	Audra Emmajean Jones, better know as "Granny Jones", age 96, of Everton, Arkansas, departed from this life on Thursday, March 22, 2012, in Harrison. She was born on July 4, 1915, in Valley Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of John and Viancie (Chaffin) Gray. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty one years, Hiram Jones; five sisters; and six brothers. Audra was a member of the Valley Springs Baptist Church. Read More	Audra Emmajean Jones, better know as "Granny Jones", age 96, of Everton, Arkansas, departed from this life on Thursday, March 22, 2012, in Harrison. She was born on July 4, 1915, in Valley Springs, Arkansas, the daughter of John and Viancie (Chaffin) Gray. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty one years, Hiram Jones; five sisters; and six brothers. Audra was a member of the Valley Springs Baptist Church. She spent her life on Hog Creek. She was a strong woman with a strong will. She was a great mom and was known as "Granny" by all. Granny spent her entire life tending her ancestral farm in a house she and our father built in 1949. They cut most of the lumber from the land with a cross cut saw themselves. She was up at the crack of dawn caring for her beloved cows, animals and gardens. There were always 3 full meals a on the table with a smile and kind words to boot. Granny loved being a farmer and cherished the land she tended. She was honored with the Senior Farmer of the Year award in 2009 from Farm Bureau of Arkansas, Boone County. She loved making quilts and for generations had graced her family with her fine work. Her life can be summed up in her own words: "Reserve each precious day to do things both good, kind, and pure. Old things will pass away, but these will still endure. All things are possible with God, all good, kind, and true. We know our God will do His part and the rest is up to me and you". Audra is survived by her children and their spouses, Ettijean Moser of Prineville, Oregon, Jorene and Darrell Henson of Harrison, Harmolene and Larry Phillips, Layuanna and Ron Williams and Carl and Linda Jones, all of Valley Springs, Diane and Bill Livingston of Harrison and Pamela Jones of Boston, Massachusetts; eleven grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and many dear friends. Granny's children live on as the fruits of her labor with strength, kindness, and a smile for all. She was the greatest gift, the gift of Life, the gift of Love Divine. Shine on, Shine on, Shine on. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 PM, Sunday, March 25, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, March 26, 2012, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Carl Garvin officiating. Pallbearers are Jeff Jones, Chris Jones, Matthew Williams, Mike Henson, J. D. Livingston and Gary Moser. Honorary pallbearers are Jered Grant, Ed Helams, Dusty Sisco, Carol Grant, Brittany Sisco, Jennifer Breedlove, Jessica Helams, Dixie Brikby, Laurie Williams, Heather Jones, Jan Jones, Barbara Livingston and Petra Livingston. Interment is in Western Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Childrens Hospital, 800 Marshall Street, Little Rock, AR 72202 or to Hospice of the Hills, PO Box 1927, Harrison, AR 72602.
