Audrey Anne, daughter of Edgar Lewis and Pearl May (Noble) Justus, was born March 11, 1928 on her family's farm in Boone County, one mile north of Akron, Nebraska. Read More	Audrey Anne Forney, 84 of Albion died Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Boone County Health Center in Albion. Audrey Anne, daughter of Edgar Lewis and Pearl May (Noble) Justus, was born March 11, 1928 on her family's farm in Boone County, one mile north of Akron, Nebraska. Audrey first attended Elementary school at Wheeler County District 11, then one year at Aromas, CA and one year at Los Molinos, CA, before returning to Wheeler County District 11. She graduated from Wheeler County High School in Bartlett, Nebraska in 1945. Following graduation, Audrey began teaching school. She taught one year at Boone County District 13 and then because of her father's illness, she taught two more years at Pierce County District 2. On June 13, 1948, Audrey was united in marriage to Donald Duane Forney at the Church of Christ in Albion. To this union 5 children were born: Dale, Valerie, Beth, Ginger and Joye. They first lived on the George Hutchison farm four miles northwest of Albion from 1948 – 1953, then moved nine miles west of Loretto to the Akron area from 1953-1959. In 1959 they moved to a farm four miles northwest of Albion until moving into Albion in 1993. After they were married, Audrey stayed home, being a homemaker, helping on the farm and raising their children. In November of 2009, Audrey moved into the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center. Audrey was a member of the Albion Church of Christ since 1948 and was baptized there in 1950. She was also a member of the Beaver Valley Club, YM Club, Ladies Bible Study Group, Church Group, Hobby Club, was a 4-H Club Leader, and held many offices in these clubs. She taught Bible school and Sunday school. Audrey also loved to crochet and bake, always making something special for her family and friends. Above all, her family and faith were most important to her. She took much joy in serving others. Audrey is survived by: daughters: Valerie Smith of Blair, NE; Beth Ward and husband Lee of Eaton, CO; Ginger Bygland and husband Greg and Joye Anderson and husband Brad all of Albion, NE; grandchildren: Jeffrey (Janelle) Smith, Linsey (Corey) Dusin, Travis Ward, Erin (Paul) Nelson, Kyle Bygland, Lauren Bygland, Lane Anderson, Brooke Anderson; great-grandchildren: Ava Audrey Nelson and Jaxon Lawrence Smith. Audrey was preceded in death by: parents, Edgar and Pearl Justus; husband, Donald Forney and son, Dale Allen Forney. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Albion, NE.
