Description	:	Audrey Eason went to heaven to join all the other angels on Sunday, June 6, 2004. She was 94 years old. She was born to Miami and Charlie Cook on May 9, 1910, in Florien, La. Audrey loved everyone and especially loved to visit with her neighbors and friends. She was an avid gardener and loved all her beautiful flowers. Read More	Audrey Eason went to heaven to join all the other angels on Sunday, June 6, 2004. She was 94 years old. She was born to Miami and Charlie Cook on May 9, 1910, in Florien, La. Audrey loved everyone and especially loved to visit with her neighbors and friends. She was an avid gardener and loved all her beautiful flowers. She was in her yard most of the time looking out for her flowers. She was a devoted wife and mother and spent most of her life being a homemaker. She was very proud of the time she spent, during the World War II effort, packing parachutes at the base at White Sands proving grounds in New Mexico. She met and married Ed Eason in Louisiana on August 17, 1933. They lived in Louisiana until 1942 and then moved to New Mexico. In 1948, they moved to California and have lived in Fortuna since 1975. Audrey is survived by daughter, Wanda Taylor and husband Henry; granddaughters, Cindy Zibull and husband Richard, and Mary Palmer and husband Garry; great-granddaughters, Heidi Zibull, and Heather McCracken and husband Steve; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, in 1987; sisters, Vallie Jett and Ethel Bridges; and brothers, Sam Cook, Roy Cook, Agee Cook, all of Louisiana. The family would like to thank St. Luke Manor, for the excellent care given to Audrey during the last seven years. Special thanks to Rose and April. Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of Pierce Mortuary Chapel, Eureka. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to St. Luke Manor or a favorite charity.
