Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Brookings. Audrey Hortness Lamb, daughter of Alfred and Florence Hortness was born August 7,1922. She spent her early years and received her education in White S.D. and is a graduate of White High School. Upon leaving high school she attended General Beatle in Madison S.D. and MSU in Marshall, MN, and received her teaching degree. She taught in various schools in Iowa and South Dakota before coming to Hendricks, MN, in 1959, where she was employed until her retirement in 1989. She was and excellent teacher and loved to reminisce about the years spent with her students and colleagues. She married Marvin Lamb and they farmed in Brookings County. She was an active member of Pioneer Lutheran Church and enjoyed cooking, square dancing, coin collecting and working in her many flower gardens. She was proceeded in death by her parents Alfred and Florence Hortness. Memorials may be directed to Pioneer Lutheran Church or Hendricks Public School. - Rudes Funeral Home
