Description	:	Audrey June Hall was born to James Elmer Mahaffey and Pearl "Lee" Mahaffey on June 23, 1922, at Hebron, and passed away December 30, 1995, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 7 days. Read More	Audrey June Hall was born to James Elmer Mahaffey and Pearl "Lee" Mahaffey on June 23, 1922, at Hebron, and passed away December 30, 1995, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 7 days. She was one of three children in the family. Audrey grew up on a farm five miles east of Highway 81--just a few feet from the Oregon Trail, and approximately eight miles northeast of Hebron. Audrey went to country school about a mile north of her home and later attended and graduated from Hebron High School in 1941. Audrey was married to Albert Radke on June 30, 1943, and to them two children were born. After their marriage they were both employed by the Army. Audrey served in the Quarter Master Corps as a secretary at the Bruning Air Base and later at the Air Base at Laramie, Wyo., and Pocatello, Idaho. After the war, the Radke family moved to York and then McCool, where they lived a short while. Later, they made their home in Fairmont. Audrey's occupation the following years included being a housewife and mother. She later received the necessary education and became a licensed beautician. Audrey's love of her work as a beautician would last close to 30 years, and most of that time was spent in her own Shear Magic Beauty Salon. Audrey was married to Raymond Hall July 31, 1973. Audrey was a member of the Fairmont Community Church, American Legion Auxiliary and the Fairmont Woman's Club. She enjoyed gardening, taking care of her flowers and she loved to dance. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pearl Mahaffey; sisters, Nila Buckelew and Loetta Bowman; and husbands, Albert Radke and Raymond Hall. She is survived by her sons, Albert (Sherry) Radke of Fairmont and Richard Radke of Federal Way, Wash.; step-sons, Edward Hall of Fairbury, and Richard (Nancy) Hall of Wymore; step-daughters, Barbara (Dick) Smith of Fairmont, Patricia (Larry) Dow of Overland Park, Kan., Kathryn (Clarence) Nun of Geneva and Mary Hall of Missouri Valley, Iowa; four grandchildren, 19 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and 15 step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Fairmont Community Church in Fairmont on Thursday, Jan. 4, with the Rev. Laura Bartels officiating. Delores Swartz accompanied Greg Rehm, who sang "In the Garden" and "On Eagles Wings." A taped selection of "Go Rest High on That Mountain" was also played. Casket bearers were Merlin Ehmen, Joe Galaway, Bobby Hoeft Jr., Billy Jacobsen, Richard Schmidt and Dwight West. Interment was in the Fairmont Public Cemetery.
