Description	:	Audrey Louise (Pykiet) Worcester, 95, of Council Grove, KS, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at the Morris County Hospital.She was born the 4th child, to Paul and Dorcas (Brown) Pykiet on March 25, 1916 at Red Deer, Alberta Canada. At six months of age, she came into the United States with her family, crossing at Sweet Grass, Montana. The family settled in Bushong, Kansas and Audrey remembered it as a remarkable and exciting place to grow up.Audrey married Ira "Buss" Lawrence Worcester on September 15, 1932. This union lasted 57 years, producing 3 children, as they continued living in the Bushong/Council Grove areas.Audrey was employed occasionally in Council Grove, but her life was devoted to family, being a full time mom and grandma, loving everyone.She loved traveling throughout the United States and Canada, repeatedly returning to the South Dakota Badlands.Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Kathy Miller Worcester, 4 brothers Victor "Vic" Pykiet, Harold "Ike" Pykiet, A.B. "Pete" Pykiet, Claire "Dude" Pykiet and sister Winnie Pykiet Straffon.She is survived by son Paul Worcester and wife Pat, of Portland, OR, daughter Pat Smith and husband Carol, of Alta Vista, KS, and son Roger Worcester and wife Marian, of Destrehan, LA; 10 grandchildren, Susan Ferrell, of TN, Natalie Sparley and John Worcester, of OR, Mike Marlar, of AZ, Tim Marlar, Greg Marlar and Sheryl Crooks, of KS, Justine Wolf, of TX, and Colette Worcester and Dawn Day of LA; 32 great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.Audrey was a member of the United Methodist Church of Alta Vista, KS.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 1, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Flint Hills Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
