Read More	Oct 12 2014 obituary notice provided by Contributor Kathie R Postoloski-Friesen Their suggestion: ------------------------- ASHTON — Audrey Mae (nee: Dollie Allen) of Bow Island, beloved mother of Barry, and Howard and his wife Sheila all of Calgary, passed away in Bow Island on Sunday, October 11 at the age of 58 years, Dolly was born in Bow Island on January 27, 1923 where she attended school and lived all her life. She married Rowan Ashton of Burdett in February 1946. She worked in Mellen’s Store in Bow Island from 1953-1955 at which time she began to work at the Bow Island Post Office. Dolly received her long service pin (25 years) in 1980 and was employed as assistant post mistress at the time of her passing. She is survived by her mother Jessie Allen of Bow Island, two brothers, Pete of Lethbridge, and Buster of Swan Hills, one sister Babe Starner of Bow Island, 4 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Ernie Allen in 1975, by a brother Mickey Allen in 1976. The funeral service will be held in St. Andrew’s United Church in Bow Island Thursday, October 15, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Oliver Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in the Bow Island Cemetary. Friends may pay their respects at Reardon’s Funeral Chapel, Taber, on Wednesday, October 14th from 7:00 till 8:00 p.m. or at the church from 1:00 p.m. till the time of service.
