August is survived by: children Eula Lee (Neal) Freudenburg of Madison, Nebraska, Donna Jean (Maynard) Mozer of Norfolk, Nebraska, Deon (Linda) Hintz of Norfolk, Nebraska and Delano (Laurie) Hintz of Stanton, Nebraska; daughter in-law Connie Hintz of Norfolk, Nebraska; brother Gilbert Hintz of Sacramento, California; sisters, Evelyn Kurpgeweit of Norfolk, Nebraska and Ilene Boe of Naples, Florida; 17 grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; 28 great grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.. August was preceded in death by: wife, Elsie Hintz in 2005; son, Garold Hintz in 2006; three brothers; one sister and two great grandsons. Funeral services for August F. Hintz, was at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 24, 2014 at Grace Lutheran Church, Norfolk, Nebraska with Reverend Ray Wilke and Reverend Christopher Asbury as co-officiators. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk, Nebraska.
