Description	:	WATERVILLE - August "Gus" Fortin, 77, of Winslow died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at Thayer Unit, MaineGeneral Medical Center, with his loving family by his side. Born April 3, 1928, the son of August Fortin Sr. and Lumina (Chamberlain) Fortin, August attended Waterville schools. He was a founding member of the Keyes Credit Union, now KSW Credit Union. He especially enjoyed driving his tractor. He was an avid fan of the Roadrunner cartoon. Gus was also a member of the Winslow VFW. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Gail Nixon and two brothers, Armande and Fernande Fortin. He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa (Daigle) Fortin; two sons, Wayne Fortin and his wife, Loretta, of Oakland, and Dale Fortin and his wife, Mary, of Winslow; one daughter, Karen Denis and her husband, John, of Winslow; eight grandchildren, Justin, Shawn, Chad and Jeremy Fortin, Jacob and Jamie Denis, and Mystie Grant and Robert McDonald; two great-grandchildren, Marcus Denis-Doucette and Emily Fortin. He is also survived by one brother, Donald Fortin of California and one sister, Jean Curtis of California. (Morning Sentinel 12/1/2005)
