Description	:	August Richert, who has lived on a farm near Warner since 1900 and was well and favorably known as on of the prosperous farmers of that section, died at 2:30 o'clock yesterday morning at his home, aged 73 year. He was born in Germany and emigrated to the United States in 1868, settling at Sparta, Wis., where he was joined in marriage to Augusta Slearnziski. He was born in Germany and emigrated to the United States in 1868, settling at Sparta, Wis., where he was joined in marriage to Augusta Slearnziski. They remained at Sparta until 1831 when they removed to South Dakota and located at Rudolph, where he was employed by the Northwestern railway company and where he remainded until 1900 when he took up his residence on the farm named above, five miles west of Warner. He is survived by his wife and nine children who are Fred, of Alberta, Canada, Frank, Albert, William and Arthur, all living in the vicinity of Warner; Mrs. Emma Schnorr and Mrs. Marie Schnorr of Warner and Misses Clara and Mathilda Richert who are still living at the home. Deceased enjoys the respect of a wide circle of friends who express sympathy for the afflicted relatives. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the home and at 2 o'clock from Highland township Lutheran church, the Rev. Dr. Erb, officiating. Weekly News Friday, January 23, 1920 Page Eight ------------------------- August Richert, who had lived on a farm near Warner since 1900 and pervious to that time had spent several years at Rudolph, a station just south of Aberdeen, died at 2:30 o'clock Thursday morning at his home at the age of 74 years. He was born in Germany and emigrated to the United States in 1868, settling at Sparta, Wis., where he was united in marriage with Augusta Slearnziski. They made their home at Sparta until 1881, when they came to South Dakota, settling at Rudolph where Mr. Richert was employed on the Northwestern railroad for many years. His wife and nine children survive him. They are Fred of Alberta, Can.; Frank, Albert, William, and Arthur all living in Brown County; Mrs. Emma Schnorr and Mrs. Marie Schnorr of Warner and Misses Clara and Mathilda Richert, Who are still living at the home. Funeral services were held at 1 o'clock this afternoon from the home and at 2 o'clock from the Highland township Lutheran church, Rev. William Erbe officiating.
