Description	:	Saturday evening occurred the death of August Lenius, who was a respected resident of this county for many years, died at his home at Littleton, aged 76 years. He had been ailing for years. His last illness however was of short duration Mr. Lenius was a native of Germany, where he was born January 13, 1833. His marriage to Miss Augustine Budzine, who survives him, occurred there in 1853 and the same year Mr. & Mrs. Lenius came to America and settled in Canada. His last illness however was of short duration Mr. Lenius was a native of Germany, where he was born January 13, 1833. His marriage to Miss Augustine Budzine, who survives him, occurred there in 1853 and the same year Mr. & Mrs. Lenius came to America and settled in Canada. After a brief residence there they came to Iowa, living for awhile at Marshalltown, before coming to Littleton. For many years he owned and operated the mill at Littleton, which was then known as the White Mill. Later he lived on a farm north of Littleton. Besides his wife he is survived by the following two daughters and four sons; Ms. William Kleiman of Independence, George of California, Byron of Jubilee, William of Siego and Frank of the home. F. lenius of this city is a brother of the deceased and the other brother died at Oelwein several weeks ago. All the children except George were able to be present at the funeral which occurred from the Lutheran church near Littleton Monday afternoon. Rev. Lobek of the church officiating. Mrs. Julius Lenius of Perham, Minnesota, was an out-of-town relative at the funeral.
