Read More	Obituary - 6 Dec 1923 Hooper Sentinel Well Known Woman Succumbs At Scribner Mrs. Augusta Nast, a resident of thie vicinity for the past fifty years, died at 7 o'clock, Tuesday morning, at the home of her son, Henry Nast in this city. Mrs. Nast had been in fairly good health until Tuesday of last week, when she suffered a paralytic stoke, which resulted in her death a week later. Augusta Meister was born in West Prussia, Germany, on August 8, 1850, and passed away at Scribner, Neb. on November 27, at the advanced age of 73 years, 3 months and 19 days. In 1869 she was united in marriage to Gustave Nast, who came to America in 1870, Mrs. Nast joining her husband in this country the following year. They first settled in New Jersey, and in 1873 came to Dodge County, where they settled on a homestead about five miles southeast of Scribner, where they resided until the death of Mr. Nast on July 2, 1913. Since then Mrs. Nast had made her home in Scribner with her son, Henry Nast. The deceased is survived by two sons, Henry Nast and Frederick Nast, both of this city; two daughters, Mrs. Rose Lewis of Wisner and Mrs. Othelia Turner of Austin, Colo.; ten grandchildren and one brother, Guestave meister of Fremont. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon, at 1 o'clock at the home and 1:30 at St. Peter's Lutheran church, Rev. Pflug officiating. Interment will be made in the Hooper cemetery. - Scribner Rustler Through having been a citizen of this close vicinity for so many years. Mrs. Nast was very well known to the older residents of this place and the news of her death was heard with regret by all of her friends, who now extend their sympathy to the breaved family.
