Description	:	Gravestone lists place of death as Boston, Massachusetts. The Ames Tribune reported on Jan. 4, 1935, that she died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lyle Blundell, in Amherst, Mass. The Pammels were married in 1888 in Chicago and came to Ames the next year where they were pioneers of the Ames Episcopal Parish. St. John's Episcopal Church, still in operation at the corner of Lincoln Way and Stanton Avenue, was constructed using stone donated by the Pammels from the family homestead in Wisconsin. Mrs. Pammel's father was a Chicago merchant whose home and business were destroyed in the great Chicago Fire of 1871, an event often recalled by Mrs. Pammel. She was survived by four children, Harold Pammel of Washington, D. C.; Mrs. Lois Blundell, Harriett Seal of Auburn, Alabama; and Violet Pammel of Boston. She was preceded in death by her husband and two daughters, Doris Pammel and Edna Pammel Needham.
