Funeral services will be held 11:00 Friday morning, May 31, 2002 at the St. Johns Lutheran Church, rural Monticello with interment in the St. Johns Cemetery. Rev. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Elwill, 3 sisters and 6 brothers. Augusta Hermina Husmann was born September 26, 1907 near Monticello, Iowa. She was the daughter of Fred and Minnie Thuman, Husmann. Augusta was baptized at Wayne Zion Lutheran Church and confirmed her faith at St. Johns Lutheran Church in 1922. She received her early education in the rural schools near Hopkinton, Iowa. Augusta H. Husmann and Elwill Bernard Null were married September 30, 1925 at the St. Johns Lutheran Church Parsonage. The couple made their home near Monticello. Augusta was the Supervisor of the Hot Lunch Program for the Monticello Community Schools for many years. Augusta and Elwill also operated a caf for several years. She also was employed by the Senior Home in the food service department.
