Hahn, 927 Sixth Avenue, SW, where she made her home in recent years, Thanksgiving day. Mrs. Sppies had been in failing health for some years due to fatally of increasing age. August Wolkow was born April 14, 1853, in Britlow Ufermark, Germany, where she receive her early education. At theage of fourteen she came with her parents to America. They settled near Hartford, Wis., where she was married in January, 1870, to Andrew Huebsch. Mr. and Mrs. Huebsch shortly after their marriage came to Le mars and settled on a claim in Stanton township where they developed the land and became successful farmers. To their union were born five daughters and two sons. On daughter died in infancy. Her husband, Andrew Huebsch, died December 30, 1893. She contnued to reside on the farm for another year and then came to Le Mars. She was married in 1906 to Jacob Spies, with whom she enjoyed twenty years of happy married life, until his death in 1926. She is survived by two sons, William Huebsch, of Pomona, California, and George Huebsch, of Pomona, California; two daughters,, Mrs. Charles Han, of Le mars, in whose home she was tenderly cared for duing her last sickness; Mrs. Philip Hahn, of Wilton Junction. Fourteen grandchildren, theirteen great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Anna Miller, of Portland, Oregon, also survive her. Her two daughters, Mrs. Anna Hamm, of Donnelly, Minn., and Rose Dobbert, of Pomona, California, preceded her in death, the former in 1926 and the latter in 1932. The funeral services wwere held Saturday afternoon at the Beely chapel and were largely attended by f riends and old neighbors. Rev. O. M. Yaggy, pastor of the Hildreth church, conducted the services. Grandsons and great grandsons acted as pallbearers. Interment was made in the Stanton cemetery.
