He had suffered a heart attack. Born Mar 20, 1903, at Williamsburg, he was the son of Hugh and Frances Morrin O'Donnell. His marriage to Myrtle Mary Smith took place at Princeton, Feb 1, 1931. He had suffered a heart attack. Born Mar 20, 1903, at Williamsburg, he was the son of Hugh and Frances Morrin O'Donnell. His marriage to Myrtle Mary Smith took place at Princeton, Feb 1, 1931. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb 1, 1981. He had been owner-operator of O'Donnell Hardware in Williamsburg approximately 50 years. A lifelong resident of Williamsburg, O'Donnell belonged to the Lions club, Knights of Columbus, St. Mary's Catholic church, the Iowa County Historical society and served on the Salvation Army board. O'Donnell had been active in community affairs, serving as mayor 22 years, councilman, fire chief and fireman, supporting athletic programs and working on the election board. Survivors are his wife, a son and six daughters, Mell Francis O'Donnell, Orlando, Fla; Patrica (John) Stirk, Fairfax, VA; Rita Schafer, whose husband is Dr. Richard Schaefer, Wauwatosa, WI; Teresa (Theodore S., Jr.) Ingrassia, Rockford, IL; RoseMary (Edward) DeMeulenaere, Racine, WI; Kathryn (John) Riess, Littleton, CO; and Josephine Serantoni, Chicago, IL; and 18 grandchildren. In addition, survivors are five brothers and a sister, Joseph and Mark, Williamsburg; Mell, Cedar Rapids; Jerry, Racine, WI, Claude, Sacramento, CA; Paul, Washington, DC and Mary Veronica (George) Zika, San Diego, CA. He was preceded in death by his father, Oct 31, 1952; his mother, Apr 10, 1972; and a brother, Michael Francis in 1935.
