In his boyhood he moved to michigan with his parents where he grew to manhood, and was married to Sarrah L. Stone in Mont Calm county, Mich, then came west. His wife, Mrs. Sarrah L. Ellis, passed away July 11, 1922. Mr. Ellis passed away March 10, 1938, at the age of 88 years, 11 months and 19 days. He leaves three brothers to mourn his loss: Lucian Ellis, Sherman Ellis and Nathan Ellis, all of whom live in Michigan, and one sister, Mrs. Louisa Atkins of Goldendale, Washington, and of other near relatives and a great many nieces and nephews. - - - Ellis Funeral Services Held Funeral services for Augustus Ellis, an 89-year-old Klickitat county resident, were held from the Chapman chapel last Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm. Interment followed in the Odd Fellows cemetery here. Ellis, who had been a resident of Klickitat County for the past 30 years, was born in Acron, Ohio, March 21, 1849. He came to Michigan while still a small boy. There he married Sarrah L. Stone, who died July 11, 1922 from the effect of severe burns. Ellis died last Thursday, March 10. For a number of years he had resided east of Goldendale in the Oak Flat district where he operated a small farm. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Louisa Atkins, of Goldendale; three brothers, Lucian, Sherman, and Nathan, all of Michigan; and a number of nieces and nephews.
