Ruby, Mason City public school art supervisor; Clair of Minneapolis; and Harold of Des Moines; and 5 daughters, Miss Sarah Ruby, Miss Fay Ruby and Mrs. Paul Herren, all of Portland, Ore.; and Mrs. Harold Grimes of Des Moines; and Mrs. W. S. James of Hardy, Eighteen grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren also survive. Mr. Ruby was born on a Winnebago county farm Aug. 28,1860. He was a furniture dealer and later a hardware merchant in Lake Mills for many years until his retirement several years ago. Mrs. Ruby preceded him in death by only 9 days.
