Read More	Augustus Hubley 1939 Bridgewater Bulletin After a short illness, the death occurred at his home Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock, of Augustus Hubley, one of the oldest and most highly esteemed citizens of this town. He was 87 years of age and was in declining health for some time. Mr. Hubley was born in Laconia, where he spent his early youth and was the last surviving member of a family of twelve children. He came to Bridgewater to reside about forty-eight years ago. Mr. Hubley was a skilled horticulturist and took great pride in his garden which during the summer months, was a beauty spot of floral blooms and ornamental shrubbery. Besides his wife, who for the past six years has been confined to her bed through illness, he is survived by one son, George A. Hubley, retired merchant, of Bridgewater, residing at home; and two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Bell, at Dartmouth; and Mrs. Henry Haughn, at Laconia. The funeral will be held from his late residence Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The service will be conducted by Rev. R.E. Whitney, pastor of the United Baptist Church, of which the late Mr. Hubley was a faithful member. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
