Roth was born September 5, 1931, on a farm northwest of Milford, Nebraska to John and Lydia (Danner) Roth and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, March 29, 2019 at The Monarch in Lincoln at the age of 87. Roth was born September 5, 1931, on a farm northwest of Milford, Nebraska to John and Lydia (Danner) Roth and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, March 29, 2019 at The Monarch in Lincoln at the age of 87. In his youth, Auris accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at East Fairview Mennonite Church. He later became a 1948 graduate of Milford High School. On June 8, 1952, he was united in marriage to Beverly Stutzman at the East Fairview Mennonite Church and to this union five children were born: Randy, Jerry, Jeanie, Becky and Pam. As a young man he hauled canned milk and worked at the farmers elevator running the portable grinder. He later worked at Yost Brothers Lumber, sold Supersweet Feeds for his brother-in-law, Aden Stutzman and finished his life career selling Moorman’s Feed for 24 years. In his retirement he enjoyed driving the school bus, gardening and attending his grandchildren’s activities. Auris was a song-leader for the church for many years and enjoyed singing in a men’s quartet. He loved playing ping pong and was known to have a mean serve, often called the “sleeper serve”. Auris looked forward to his many trips to Pennsylvania and Ohio visiting with his children and grandchildren. He attended his first Chicago “Cubs” major league baseball game at age 83, and always believed in the cubs. Auris is survived by his children and spouses, Randy and Vickie Roth, Milford, Jerry and Anna Roth, Chambersburg, PA, Jeanie and Tim Springer, Dorchester, Becky and Steve Bixler, Apple Creek, OH, Pam and Kraig Roth, Seward, grandchildren and spouses, Brandon and Ashley Roth, Milford, Bryce and Amanda Roth, Auburn, Brock and Shalon Roth, Milford, Brittney and Nick Green, Santa Rosa, CA, Eric and Val Roth, Mercersburg, PA, Maria and Denver Martin, Katie and Jeremy Dixon, all of Chambersburg, PA, Abram and Inhye Springer, Seoul, South Korea, Shanae and Joe Yeackley, Dorchester, Charity and Collin Gingerich, Dakota Dunes, SD, Isaac Bixler, Kalona, IA, Titus Bixler, Apple Creek, OH, Tanner Roth, Seward, Kinzi and Dan Currie, Houston, TX, Sierra and Kyle Essary, Kansas City, KS, Angel Roth, Bartlesville OK, 19 great grandchildren, sister, Erna Bachman, Goshen, IN, sister-in-law, Imogene Roth, Phoenix, AZ, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Beverly in 2014, brother, Curtis Roth, sisters, Norvene Miller and Marcille Friesen, great-grandson, Parker Green, brothers-in-law, Aden Stutzman, Mel Bachman, Kermit Miller and Henry Friesen.
