Description	:	Aurore M. Long, 87, of Thayer Farm Road, Attleboro died Wednesday, June 29, 2005 in Attleboro following a several month illness. She was the wife of the late William A. Long, Sr. to whom she had been married 43 years at the time of his death in 1988. Born in Boston on January 27, 1918, Mrs. Long was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Antaya) Heger. Long, 87, of Thayer Farm Road, Attleboro died Wednesday, June 29, 2005 in Attleboro following a several month illness. She was the wife of the late William A. Long, Sr. to whom she had been married 43 years at the time of his death in 1988. Born in Boston on January 27, 1918, Mrs. Long was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Antaya) Heger. Raised in Randolph, she spent summers as a child in Attleboro and moved to the city in the late 1930s. She was a graduate of Boston Trade School for Girls and worked as a dressmaker for many years in Boston before coming to Attleboro where she worked at the former L. G. Balfour Company until she was married. She later worked as a dressmaker from her home. Mrs. Long dedicated her life to her three children, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who visited with her and shared their memories during the past several months. She leaves a son: William Long, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Attleboro; two daughters: Patricia Murphy and her husband, Michael of Attleboro and Sheila Tinson and her husband, Albert of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren: Aileen Gamez of Chicago, Lisa Nordberg, Erin Chace and Christopher Long, all of Attleboro, Michael Murphy, Jr. of Waddington, NY, A. James Tinson of Bronxville, NY, Eric Tinson of Durham, NC, David Tinson of Vancouver, BC and Andrew Tinson of Charlotte, NC; great-grandchildren: Sarah Nordberg, James Nordberg, Jr. and Neil Chace, all of Attleboro, Connor Tinson and William Tinson, both of Bronxville, NY and Noah Tinson of Vancouver, BC. Mrs. Long is also survived by two brothers: Richard Heger of Beverly, MA and Edwin Heger of Post Falls, ID; a sister: Doris Cheney of Santa Clara, CA; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles Heger, Jr. and Eleanor Fredette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 11 AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main Street, Attleboro by the Rev. James Fahey, Pastor of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church in So. Attleboro. Visiting hours will be conducted on Saturday, July 2nd from 9 AM – 10:30 AM in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street (adjacent to St. John the Evangelist Church), Attleboro. Burial will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Dodgeville.
